First We Take Manhattan

“You measure democracy by the freedom it gives its dissidents, not the freedom it gives its assimilated conformists.” Abbie Hoffman

What do we do, as American citizens, if our electoral system, and therefore the foundation of our democracy, has been compromised?

What do we do if one of our major political parties has been hijacked by a rogue group of extremists who possess an open contempt for the will of the electorate ?

What do we do if this party is in charge of elections in most states in the union?

What do we do if their brainwashing tactics are all too effective?

What do we do if American “journalists” have completely lost touch with any sense of duty?

What do we do when Anderson Cooper is interviewing Angelina Jolie on CNN but will grow a penis before he’ll mention the Downing Street Memo?

What do we do when so-called journalists care more about climbing the career ladder than doing the job that they’re morally obligated to do?

What do we do when historical apathy has reached such a peak in this country that very few people even remember the spirit of the 1960’s?

What do we do when people have forgotten the value of questioning authority, much less actually do it?

Was the 2004 Election Stolen? by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (Rolling Stone, June 2006) [Article at Rolling] [Printer-friendly version]

Some douche attempts a rebuttal to RFK Jr.’s arguments.

Rob Kennedy Jr. tears him a third asshole.

And so, my fellow Americans, at what point do we launch a revolution? After they steal the 2006 midterm election? After they steal 2008? 2012? When, my friends?
